Have you ever noticed a cloud?
A cloud is purposeless, do you agree to that? I am sure you have noticed a cloud plenty of times. I came across this concept of the White Cloud a while back and it struck me as quite fascinating. I admit I couldn’t completely agree to all of it but most of the points raised resonated perfectly with what I have seen all around me…
The cloud does seem to have any purpose in its being. From a completely philosophical point of view, it is just there. No source of origin, no destination and no purpose. Still it exists as is. It is a beautiful mystery which got my curiosity flowing. It exist without any roots, in human terms it would mean that its detached from other beings. A still independent entity.
Another beautiful way to look at it, that it is grounded but to the nothingness around.
When we make an effort to connect ourselves to the universal energy, the singularity we tend to disconnect from everything else and still be connect to everything else. If one fully embraces to the white cloud concept it would mean you have no purpose, nowhere to go, no destination, no journey, no aims, no missions. To me this seems a bit overwhelming at first, because our minds cannot function without purpose. If there is no meaning in life or to the things we do then we would not do them at all.
Since the cloud has nowhere to go and nothing to achieve, it cannot experience failure, anxiety or frustration.

How to be Purposeless ?
This only means that one should follow a pathless path, a way-less way. Moving in a direction but not with a fixed mind. When we link purpose with the mind, we are again entangling ourselves. All the spiritual leaders ask their disciples to meditate, to become an observer. It doesn’t not have any purpose attached to it. You mind is put at ease, in a state of nothingness. In that state of bliss, you can see the light.
The white cloud concept makes you understand that your goal should be in the present moment, not somewhere in the future. Once you are where you should be, there is no journey.
Do not let your mind engage itself with the goals, it starts to move, to travel. Look at the cloud, it hovers over the vast skies, essentially timeless. Initially it would be difficult to condition the mind, since it has the ability to create goals for itself. But if one wants to attain a spiritual pedestal, being purposeless is vital.
Live each moment with total eternity. Only that mind is religious which is purposeless. But that means that mind is no more a mind at all. Think of yourself just like a white cloud, with no mind.
